Commissioner Lawrence Weekly is hosting a special lunch-hour town hall style meeting for University Medical Center employees to meet with top hospital and employee union leaders starting at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13 in the cafeteria at UMC.

Commissioner Weekly, who serves as chairman of the UMC Board of Trustees, will at the meeting along with UMC CEO Brian Brannman, and UMC Advisory Board Chairman Dr. Anthony Marlon. The meeting is expected to last about one hour.

“UMC is the best hospital in Clark County thanks to our professional and dedicated staff,” Commissioner Weekly said. “This meeting will give hospital employees an opportunity to share their thoughts with the leaders of UMC. This meeting will also give us the chance to hear directly from the people who interact the most with the residents and visitors who come to the hospital.”

Included are the nation’s 8th-busiest airport, air quality compliance, social services and the state’s largest public hospital, University Medical Center. The county also provides municipal services that are traditionally provided by cities to almost 900,000 residents in the unincorporated area. Those include fire protection, roads and other public works, parks and recreation, and planning and development.
