Traffic on 215 Beltway at North 5th Street Reduced to   Two Lanes Beginning Wednesday

Eastbound Traffic Will Be Affected for Up to Six Months

Clark County Public Works will be diverting all eastbound traffic for six months along the 215 Bruce Woodbury Beltway at North 5th Street, which is located between Aliante Parkway and Losee Road.  This will start at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011.

Both eastbound travel lanes will be redirected onto the North 5th Street ramps to get traffic back on the main line Beltway. Access will continue to be provided at all times for North 5th Street to the south, to and from the Beltway.

The portion of eastbound mainline Beltway between the North 5th Street exit, to the North 5th Street on ramp will be closed to vehicular traffic. Westbound traffic will be unaffected.

Construction on the Beltway is part of an $11.8 million project that completes the interchange at North 5th Street.  Aggregate Industries – Southwest Region is contracted to complete the work, which is expected to be finished by the fall of 2011.
